Daily Diary
8:45 am – Breakfast eaten, tea-to-go, we’re ready for our first application of the day. NYX products are famous for their high-quality/low-price, and Liquid Suede is no exception! We’re good to go!
11:00 am – Snack time!
11:30 am – After tea, a handful (or three) of almonds and a Starbucks pick-me-up, it’s time to re-apply.
1:30 pm – Lunch! Avocado salad with a side of chicken fingers put this lipstick to the test.
1:45 pm – While Liquid Suede held on strong, there is some subtle fading happening around the centre of our lips.
4:30 pm – After some more snacks, another tea, and a few kisses, Liquid Suede is still holding strong.
6:00 pm – Time to re-apply before heading out for drinks with friends. With its long-lasting finish, smooth texture, and chic matte colour, we’re ready to paint the town pink!

How to Use
After exfoliating and lightly moisturizing lips, carefully apply product. Allow several seconds for it to dry.
Pros
We love this lipstick for its price and also for its high-quality finish. The colour did not bleed at all throughout the day, and, despite its matte finish, the product didn’t dry out our lips! We’d definitely recommend exfoliating and moisturizing your lips prior to use, but the colour stays true for a whole day. Re-applies are necessary, but not excessively so. It’s definitely a long-wear formula – perfect for an evening out!
Cons
The formula is liquid, and given that we put one of NYX’s brighter shades to the test, we found that a lot of the product got on our lips during application. This is a minor flaw, but it can get annoying if you’re re-applying during the day and don’t have a mirror handy. We also found that the lipstick lasts longer around the edges of our lips – meaning we had a definite lipstick-ombre happening at some points throughout the day.
Overall Impression
Advertised for its velvety-soft finish, waterproof and long-lasting formula, and rich colours, Liquid Suede packs a long of bang for your buck in one small tube.
