I received Garnier Clean+ for Sensitive Skin to try, and was excited because I'm always on the look out for a makeup remover that removes everything, while being gentle on my eyes.
When I first got this, I found it odd that it was labelled as a lotion because it slushed like water when I shook the container. When I opened it, the product came out partially lotion, and partially liquid, as if it had separated.
I rubbed it gently onto my dry skin, and eyes as instructed, and found that it dissolved into an oil-like substance, and removed most of my makeup, including eyeliner and mascara. I did find that I need to follow up with either a second use of the same cleanser, or a different one in order to avoid getting black on my towel when drying my face though.
Overall, it's an interesting concept for a makeup remover, and was gentle on my skin, but either I got a defective, separated product, or there are inconsistencies between tubes because most of the photos I've seen from other people don't look the same as the product I tried. The results were okay, but not great.
The Garnier Clean+ for Sensitive Skin works well to remove eye makeup quickly & coat the skin with a lotion-like layer. My mascara came off like a breeze. I was happy to read that the product has no alcohol, no dyes, & no fragrance as these are some elements I look for in products these days. I was surprised coming across a cleanser that had absolutely no scent even with its flower extracts & actually found it refreshing. It's supposed to clean not smell pretty after all.
Unfortunately, my sensitive skin still reacted to the formula just after a few uses. Under my eyes have a puffy hive-like & irritative rash that have put a full stop to its use. Respectively, I normally use an oatmeal soap bar as a facial cleanser so my face is not used to more chemically loaded cleansers these days.
Overall, the cleanser is successful in what it does but just isn't sensitive enough for my skin.
Garnier Clean Plus Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion reminds me a lot of the Pond's Cold Clean Cleanser. The texture is very similar but just slightly lighter than the cold cream. This product feels super soft to the touch and it's very easy to use. Just apply onto the face with dry hands and rub until all your makeup comes off. You can either use cotton pads to wipe off the excess or do what I prefer, by rinsing it off with water. It is really gentle and great at remover my face makeup, such as my foundation. But it doesn’t remove eye makeup as well as cleansing oils, which is what I usually preferred. It's still good at getting rid of face makeup and light eye makeup. Plus, no break outs were caused by using this product.
What I don't like about this product is that my skin doesn't feel completely clean after using this product, thus, I need a second cleanse. But my skin felt really nice, and I woke up the next morning with soft skin. I think this product will probably be a hit or miss; either you'll love it or you'll leave it. Garnier make great skincare products, so I’m sure a lot of you would want to try this out, especially if you have sensitive skin.
Two people one middle aged woman and one teen. We decided to put Garnier Clean Plus to the test. We liked some things and disliked others. Overall it was a great cleanser but it did have a tough time getting rid of the waterproof mascara.
I was pleasantly surprised by this cleanser because unlike 'regular' cleansers you apply this to dry skin. I found that it effectively removed my eye make up, and left my skin feeling very smooth and soft! It doesn't really have a smell which I loved, and it's suitable for sensitive skin, but I would really recommend it for dry skin because of the lotion-type formula it's very hydrating.
Overall, I found that it was an effective first step make up remover, but I wouldn't necessarily switch out my regular cleanser for this. If you don't mind double cleansing (which I don't) then this could be a great addition to any skincare routine. I did find that I had to rub a little harder to remove my mascara, and it did sting my eyes a little so be careful when using it near your eyeballs ladies! I think to effectively know how it works with my oily skin I would need to test it out a little longer but I think it would work really well for someone with normal-dry skin.
I'm not super impressed with this product; I don't think it does any more than a regular makeup remover, and I feel like the usage method is a little odd.
No where on the package does it suggest that you shake the product before use, but I found that if I didn't shake it, all that came out was a liquid, and when you are expecting a lotion-esque product to squirt into your hands, this can be a messy surprise!
When it comes to actually using the product, I found that using it on my whole face was completely unnecessary and seems to have lead to some breakouts, even though I always followed it with my toner. I don't like spreading it on my face and then wiping it off with water or a cotton pad, so I've taken to using it on a cotton pad just on my eye makeup like any makeup remover.
I will agree that it removes waterproof mascara reasonably well, but I've never had a problem finding removers that does this at the drugstore or high-end, so this isn't revolutionary in my opinion. Perhaps this product will be great for someone else, maybe with dry skin?
I learned how to put on makeup by watching my mother, just as I learned to take it off. For years she swore by baby oil and nothing else, squeezing a generous squirt on a cotton ball to remove the blue-black mascara and eyeliner that framed her eyes. And I did too, up until a few years ago when the oil started to irritate my skin and I'd wake up in the mornings with puffy eyelids that wouldn't deflate for hours. Since then I've tried a number of eye-makeup-remover products, some of them effective but way out of my budget (mine were trial-sized), others more reasonably priced that don't work as well. So when Garnier Canada sent me its new Clean+ Makeup Remover Cleansing Lotion for Sensitive Skin (hey, that's my skin!), I was game to test it out.
Because it’s a lotion I applied it like I would any other cleanser: on my fingers and then directly on my eyelids. (One at a time, mind you. And the directions advise you to put it on dry skin.) Before I go further, I should say that I use Benefit’s They’re Real mascara and push-up liner, which are not waterproof, but still notoriously difficult to remove. (Benefit sells a remover, but I haven’t tried it.) Because of this, I spent a good 15 seconds rubbing the product around each eyelid and on my lashes just to make sure it would come off. I used a wet cloth to remove the cleanser completely (my makeup had disappeared! it worked!) and a cotton swab to wipe off the faint line of mascara residue along my bottom lash line. (I don’t use eyeliner under my eyes.) That done, I rubbed a dime-sized amount of lotion on my cheeks and chin to remove my blush and BB cream and again, wiped with a wet cloth.
As an eye makeup remover, Garnier’s lotion worked really well. It felt gentle to use, removed the makeup easily and didn’t irritate my eyes overnight. (My sensitive skin approves!) But as a face cleanser, it’s not my fave. My skin did feel really soft for the three days that I tried it, but I couldn’t help feeling like I needed to use a toner to remove some residue. It wasn’t greasy exactly, but I definitely felt like there was something there.
I would definitely use the lotion to remove my eye makeup over the wipes I use now. For overall cleansing however, I’ll continue to use my regular brand.
Clean+ Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser is a new makeup remover from Garnier designed specifically for sensitive skin. The product is enriched with purifying moringa flower extract and contains no alcohol, dyes, or fragrance.
The formula appears to be an interesting combination of cleansing oil (though it's not actually "oil" according to the packaging) and cleansing lotion which I haven't seen before. I would recommend lightly shaking the tube before use, otherwise the "oil" will seep out first when what you really want is to get a good mix of the two. You apply the cleanser to dry skin, massaging it to break down your makeup, and can either wipe it off with a cotton pad or rinse (I personally prefer to rinse). After use, my face was left feeling smooth and moisturized and I could see how this would be good for those people with sensitive skin types.
Garnier also claims that the product "dissolves even waterproof mascara" and since that's all I wear, I was pleased to see that this was indeed the case. However, my eyes are extremely sensitive and I found the cleanser irritated them despite the fact that it's ophthalmologist-tested. Since stinging eyes are obviously something I want to avoid, I don't think this product is right for me. It's a shame since it does actually do what it claims!
I have never actually used a cleanser/makeup remover with quite this texture before and I’ll tell ya, I used layer upon layer of the Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge eye pencils and just a light touch of this cleanser disintegrated every trace of makeup! It also did a really great job with my mascara, but I would recommend the rolling technique because this cleanser did sting a TINY bit. I didn’t need to cry, but I got a little bit in my eye and could feel a slight tingle. I mean, human eyes are pretty delicate and even getting water in them is uncomfortable, but compared to Lancome’s Bifacil, this one is definitely more gentle. As for my skin feeling conditioned, yet clean? Yes and yes on both accounts. With the exception of the presence of methylparaben, I found this product to be highly effective!
Overall I really like this cleanser. I was totally amazed at how well it removed my make-up, including my EYE make-up! I didn't need anything else after to get the "racoon eyes" away, they weren't there.
My skin also feels soft after using it, not tight & dry like some cleansers. Though I will say I've noticed a few more breakouts than normal, but it could just be hormonal timing.
As a whole it's definitely a product I'd purchase again & add to my travel bag.
As someone who has only used soap and water to clean my face, I'm loving this product! It's bringing moisture back to my skin and doesn't irritate it at all. The price is affordable and I can see myself purchasing it in the future.
Overall, I thought the product was very good. After the first wash, my skin was comfortable and felt clean. It didn't feel instantly softer like I thought it might, but kept with it for a few more days. Over those few days, my skin did end up feeling softer and smoother.
I didn't happen to test out how well it took off makeup (unfortunately I didn't wear any during the testing period). I also noticed that the first day after using this product that I was breaking out a little bit. I don't want to automatically say that this product caused me to break out...it could have just been a coincidence. I wouldn't think a product suitable for sensitive skin would cause any breakouts. Anyway, besides that, it didn't irritate my skin at all.
There is nothing harder than having sensitive skin, which makes finding the perfect makeup remover a very difficult task. Luckily, Garnier's all-new Clean + makeup remover is about to become your new go-to. This gentle face wash has not only been recognized by the Canadian Dermatology Association, it is also enriched with purifying extracts that leave your skin soft, smooth and most important clean! This product removes almost all of the makeup with just one small pea sized dollop of cream. With no alcohol or fragrance this is the perfect makeup removing wash for any girl!
Hey Sashers!! So I have had the privilege of getting the Garnier Clean Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser to try out and review. Like I mentioned in my previous post my skin is sensitive so I don't like putting a lot of random stuff on it.
With this lotion I liked the fact that it was something very soothing and you just massage it in. If you're a quick user of makeup wipes then this is one more step, but I do recommend you give it a try at least once. It's liquidy, for the most part and all you have to do is wipe down your face with a cotton pad. Or if you really wanted to, just wash it off.
What I loved is that my skin doesn't feel dry after using this, which is another issue I deal with. And remember when I said natural products are the best. Well, this happens to have moringa seeds and plant extracts in it and is completely fragrance, alcohol, dye and oil free.
Another product that I would recommend to you my bugs because it has made my ItList.
It works amazing! The only downside for me is I have crazy oily skin so it did block some of my pores. I am an Esthetician so I did research the ingredients and found that the one has been know to cause blackheads. I will continue to use it because it works so well but I will continue with my regular daily cleanser after it to prevent this! Overall great product and both myself and my co-worker (another Esthetician) were really impressed with the ingredients it does have!
On the skin, the product feels like a light lotion rather than something like a thick cold cream. The skin doesn't absorb it quite like a lotion (not that it needs to) but it feels smooth and relaxing to apply. To use it, you simply squeeze a little out of the bottle and massage it all over your face. I noticed my makeup immediately breaking up upon contact with the product (a very good sign). The caveat? I didn't put the product near my eyes but it somehow got close to them and it stung like a poop. Not fun. Besides that...
After washing the product off with lukewarm water (you can also use a cloth or cotton pad to wipe it off), my skin felt very supple and hydrated without feeling greasy. I took a makeup wipe to my face just to see if there was any residual product and there wasn't! So, I'm 100% positive that this stuff removes all your makeup in one go.
Indeed, this makeup remover is ultra-gentle (yet powerful!!), suitable for sensitive skin. But not for my sensitive eyes.
The Garnier Clean+ Cleanser was very effective in removing my makeup! I liked the texture of the cleanser as it was not greasy and did not sting my eyes. I used it while wearing waterproof eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara. It did a really good job at breaking down the makeup. I find that it's better to use a cotton pad to wipe off as rinsing left some residues on my eyes. See my blog post on a full review with pictures 🙂
I was very pleased with how easily the Clean+ lotion cleanser removed my makeup, even waterproof mascara. Even more impressive was how soft my skin felt after using it! Many of the makeup removers and cleansers I have used in the past left my skin feeling very dry or slightly irritated, but this cleanser was very different. I feel like it is making my skin feel smoother after only a few days using it.
My teen daughter also tried it, and said it was "way better" than the makeup removing cleansing wipes she usually uses. Now she wants some Clean+ cleanser for herself!
Before I give you my thoughts, let's get down to the claims/benefits.
Gently calms & comforts skin
Fragrance, alcohol, dye, and oil free
Quick-break lotion releases the powerful cleansing agents to dissolve impurities, and waterproof mascara
Formula infused with plan extracts
At first, I was a bit skeptical about the makeup removing lotion cleanser, because I had previously reviewed Garnier's Clean + Soothing Remover Towelettes (which you can read about HERE), and didn't get the best results. And when I saw "oil-free", I was worried that it wouldn't make my waterproof makeup budge. So, needless to say I didn't have super high expectations, since this new product made similar claims to the makeup towelettes. However, I was surprisingly impressed with it!
To put the removing lotion cleanser to the test, I had to bring out the big guns - my Covergirl Lash Blast Volumizing waterproof mascara, and Inglot's #77 gel liner - which take a little bit of elbow grease to remove. Here is the before picture (also wearing Physicians formula matte eyeshadow quad in "Classic Nudes")
The directions are as follows:
Apply lotion to dry skin with fingers.
Gently massage into skin and around eyes.
Remove with cotton pad or rinse clean with water.
Use AM and PM.
I followed the directions, and took pictures after using the product.
As you can see, the majority of the makeup was removed. I just have a tiny bit of of gel liner left on my eye. As a test, just to show how much was left, I wiped my eye with a makeup remover pad that uses an oil formula.
Not bad at all! The product removed almost all of my waterproof makeup, which is no small feat. I have used lotion removers in the past, but found them sort of lumpy, and hard to work with. The Garnier Clean + Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser, however, was very creamy, and spread out very evenly on my skin. It also left my face feeling soft, which is great, since sometimes after using remover wipes, you can be left feeling quite dry. I'm really pleased with the result, and I'll definitely be using it again. Word to the wise, though - when it says "apply AROUND eyes", definitely do it around your eyes, and not IN YOUR eyes, like I did *cue embarrassed face* - it can understandably feel a bit irritating.
Leaves skin feeling fresh and clean with minimal effort. I like how it takes three simple steps and your face is clean and free of impurities. Great go to makeup remover lotion cleanser espceially for those of us who don't take the time to clean our face every day.
Definitely a great product. You can find my full review on my blog but it felt great to use on my skin, removed the toughest makeup that I used and washed away clean. This is a product that I would definitely use and purchase again.
When I first received my package, my sample had leaked quite a bit through the inside and had left an oily residue on the informational sheets included inside of the package. I quickly wiped it down and opened up the sample to see how it was.
I noticed that the contents within my sample had separated and only the oil came out where the gel had separated and came out as chunks. I shook my sample up vigorously to force the two phases back together into a lotion (and it worked).
I brushed my teeth as I normally would and then dried my face before using the lotion to wash off my makeup. I rinsed it off afterwards and noticed that it had removed all of my waterproof makeup that I sometimes even have difficulty taking off with regular makeup remover. I didn't quite like the oily residue that it left afterwards, so I cleansed my skin with my regular facial cleanser. After using the product for several days, I noticed a significant change in the moisture of my skin. It was more supple immediately after a wash and I also enjoyed how easy it was to remove my makeup. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the product and definitely would repurchase it in the future.
I would prefer though that the formation of the product didn't separate quite as quickly. The next day when I went to use it again, I had to again shake it up vigorously. It had again separated into different phases and I squeezed out oil and a gel.
Anyone who knows me knows I don't wear much makeup. I am a no frills, no fuss kind of woman but I do like to wear it on occasion. Now when it comes to my skin care and nightly beauty regime I am pretty old fashion as well, but for the last year whenever I wore makeup I used a makeup removing wipe. For the past week though I have tested out the new Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Cleanser.
Last night, I was out at an event, so yes I wore makeup. By the time I got home I was tired and ready for bed like most of us after a long day. Even with that going on, I knew I was to blog today about the cleanser so I wanted to capture my test on camera. On one half of my face I used the wipe I had used for the last year, on the other side I used the new Garnier Clean+. All I can say is I am never going back to my wipes. In one single swipe of my face everything was gone and my face felt clean, whereas on the other side of my face I could see remnants of my evening out. Yuck!
Now my teen daughter also has very sensitive skin, so I got her to try it as well. Let's just say my daughter who is tough to win over was impressed.
We both like that after using it our skin felt comfortable (no irritations), and even soft to touch and looked clean. We love that it is an affordable easy to use lotion and cleanser that gets the job done, while being gentle on our sensitive skin. It's formulated without fragrances, alcohol, dyes or oils so it really is perfect for us. We also liked that you put it on dry skin, massage a bit and wipe, it's that easy. All you makeup is gone even the hard to remove stuff. We say at this price point it is definitely worth consideration.
Even though I use several different products each morning, my "go to" makeup routine is pretty simple. I typically focus on skincare and creating that dewy glow, rather than a bold eye. Of course, every now and again, I take the time to apply that wipe of eyeliner and and smokey eye shadows. The extra makeup makes me feel more glamorous, even if my outfit is casual.
I don't like to wear a ton of makeup for work (aka - I prefer to use those extra few minutes to sleep), but when I do, it's removing the makeup that's the biggest pain.
Makeup remover, isn't something I ever get overly excited to buy. Not only is there nothing fun or exciting about the removal of makeup, but I also don't think I've ever been "wow'ed" by a product in this category. For the last couple of years, I've been using makeup remover wipes, and while they do a decent job taking off my day-to-day face, I find that when I wear eyeliner and that extra coat of mascara, they don't seem to get it all off!
Needless to say, when Garnier Canada send me a new product to review, I was a little bit skeptical. Garnier Clean Plus is a cream-based makeup remover, and I wasn't sure it would do what it promised: remove that stubborn eye makeup (and calm sensitive skin). The product is approved by the Canadian Dermatology Association, and doesn't contain alcohol, dyes, or fragrances, so I figured at worst case, it would leave my skin feeling smooth.
Lo and behold, I've been using Garnier Clean Plus for about a week, and it actually gets every last drop of my makeup off! I still find the concept of rubbing cream over my eyes a little bit strange, but it delivers on its promise. As far as I'm concerned, the extra moisturizing this product offers is a bonus.
Garnier has recently put out a new product that is geared for those of us who suffer from sensitive skin. Clean+ Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser is infused with plant extracts and will result in leaving your skin feeling moisturized and protected. Of course, it is for us ladies and is simple and efficient way to remove make-up as well as calm your sensitive skin. This lotion contains some powerful cleansing agents to help get rid of your make-up and even works for waterproof mascara! After you've done the job of cleansing your face/skin you will get the benefit of having skin that feels refreshed, thoroughly cleansed and moisturized. In addition to your skin feeling softer and smoother, it will also look healthier!
One thing about Garnier Clean+ that was a small con for me was that the ingredients are not all natural...and I had no idea what some of the ingredients were on the back of the bottle. I'm a bit of a "nerd" when it comes to wanting to know what the ingredients are in the products I use. 🙂 That said, Garnier has avoided ingredients such as alcohol, dyes and fragrances (which I REALLY appreciate) and it is dermatologist and Ophthalmologist tested as well as allergy tested...and of course it's passed the 'sensitive skin' test too...so that does provide a good foundation for Garnier Clean+ to stand on.
I rarely stray from my favourite cleansers and wipes because when I need to remove my makeup, I don't like to take chances and get breakouts. The Garnier Clean+ has been a great find to complement my current routine. The "lotion" formula is very gentle on the skin, while breaking down the makeup quickly and efficiently. The result is a very nourished and hydrated skin!
I do wear makeup some of the time but as I work retail and I get dust particles onto my skin and when I used the
Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion
I found that it not only takes my makeup off but also the oils and dirt off of my skin too.
I find it is a nice soft cleanser that you do not need a lot of to use.
Also thinking of the cold weather we have been having and as I walk in it. I feel that the
Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion is great to help with my skin from the dryness of the weather.
I used this product only in the evening and I would put about a teaspoon size into my hand and gently do circular motions onto my face and washed off with a washcloth and my face would be nice and clean.
It made my face feel nice and soft.
It is suitable for sensitive skin.
Other positive things to know
Removes stubborn makeup and calms sensitive skin.
No alcohol, dyes or fragrances.
Approved by the Canadian Dermatology Association
Moringa seed & Plant Extracts
0% fragrance, alcohol, dye, oil
Easy to use and great from a day of wearing makeup all day and getting home late and wanting to clean your face fast.
This product lives up to its name and is a great value for your money. For a drugstore price you get 150 ml of product, sure to last you a decent time which is essential in an everyday product. Plus, makeup remover doesn’t need to be glamorous, if it does the job why pay more for high-end brands? I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an all-in-one makeup remover and it is definitely sensitive skin friendly, I’m impressed!
- it was just as effective as other makeup removers
- it was kind of runny
- I didn't like applying it with my fingers
I would give Garnier Clean+ Makeup Remover 4 of 5. I really liked how gentle it was on my face, and that it didn't have a strong chemical or alcohol smell. Garnier seems to have found a good balance between gentle and effective, which I can only assume is rather difficult. Like I said earlier, it was a bit runny for a cream based remover but was equally as effective as other removers. Well done Garnier 🙂
Garnier Clean + is a really cool cleanser! It's a cross between a traditional cleaner and an oil cleanser that will remove all of your makeup quickly, even waterproof eyeliner and mascara. I've also been using it to clean my makeup brushes because it works amazingly on cream liners and waterproof foundations. Definitely give Clean + a try!
The weather we've experienced here in Atlantic Canada this year has certainly taken it's toll on my skin. Battling -40 Celsius temperatures while getting the car prepped for the morning school run, and making sure the kids are buckled up into their seats is hard going on the skin. Since I have sensitive skin that's prone to flare ups, finding any skincare products without alcohol in the ingredients can be quite a challenge.
Recently I had the opportunity to try Garnier Clean+Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion for sensitive skin. Removing makeup from my face was a breeze, especially mascara. I loved the way it left my skin feeling soft and refreshed and caused me no irritation.
The Garnier Clean+ Cleanser not only cleaned my skin, but it made it feel soft, smooth and less dull. It removed most of my makeup and made a valiant effort in removing my Benefit They're Real Mascara and Eyeliner. Didn't quite get it all off, but removed more than most other makeup removers.
My winter ravaged skin (and I) are loving the Garnier Clean+ Cleanser. It is quite thick, so not sure if I will continue use in the summer months, but an excellent winter skin cleanser!
Garnier Clean+ Lotion Cleanser is an effective cleanser that lives up to its promise in not irritating the dermis of sensitive skin sufferers. I am a sensitive skin sufferer and was delighted to find Garnier Clean+ Lotion Cleanser does not irritate my skin nor the sensitve areas around my eyes. Garnier Clean+ Lotion Cleanser is especially ideal for those in cold climates, where the weather is extremely dry in the winter months. There is only one other cleanser I have had success with in combating sensitive skin but Garnier Clean+ Lotion Cleanser is more effective in removing makeup, albeit it does leave an oily residue on my skin. I then end up having to cleanse my skin with another cleanser afterwards. Perhaps Garnier can create another product as a follow up to this cleanser as part of a 2-step system or perhaps reformulating the product.
I really enjoyed this product. It was extremely easy to use and did exactly what it said it would do. My makeup came off so easily with this product and I was wearing heavy liner and dark lipstick. I would recommend this product to others.
I quite liked this product. It did a great job of removing my makeup including waterproof mascara and brow pomade! It also cut right through Stila Stay all Day liner. It did not sting my eyes nor dry out my skin. I did not feel like I could only use this at night though as it felt like it left a residue on my face. But as a first step in cleansing it was great. My Clarisonic brush was a lot less dirty after using this lotion than with my usual make up wipes.
It worked fast. Like, really fast. With other eye make-up removers I usually sit there rubbing and rubbing to get my eye make-up off and five or six cotton pads later, I'm done. With Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser I was able to get all the make-up off after just a few swipes which surprised the heck out of me. So I went over the same eye with a fresh cotton ball just to be sure and yup, my eyelid was clean.
I liked this cleanser because it met most of my eye make-up remover reqirements. It did leave my eyelid looking a bit oily, but it didn't feel oily or leave an oily feeling residue. I also liked it because as a cream, it felt calming and cool on my eyelid and wasn't messy to use.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like Garnier Clean Plus. Many products I've tried claiming to be for sensitive skin end up making me break out, but this one didn't. I can feel how moisturizing it is when I'm washing my face, but almost a week after using it, my skin is still free of breakouts, but more soft and smooth. Win-Win!!
I recommend buying this product if you have sensitive or normal skin as it will definitely hydrate and not irritate your skin. For those who have acne prone skin, try only using this product once or twice a week or only use it to clean off your eye makeup, but stick to a cleanser that keeps the skin dry and oil free to prevent acne breakouts. I would definitely buy this product again to remove my waterproof makeup but since I have acne prone skin I need to stick to my regular cleanser. Great part of this product is that it can be a waterless cleanser- you only need the product and a cotton pad or tissue. However, I suggest wiping the face with a second cotton pad soaked with water or toner, to completely remove any leftover makeup.
The best way to describe my skin is picky. Since I want to take the best care of my skin I can, I am always on the look-out for the best products that will not dry out or make my skin react negatively to the products I use on it, especially my face. From time to time, I do wear makeup when I want to look my best. For me, the worst part about wearing makeup is taking it off. It takes a lot to remove products like mascara and eyeliner, and sometimes it takes more than one application to get all of it off. That is why I was so excited to try Garnier® Clean+ Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion to easily remove the makeup I use while keeping my skin happy.
Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion is a quick-break lotion that releases powerful cleansing agents to help dissolve impurities and waterproof mascara while it gently calms and comforts skin. This lotion is infused with Plant Extracts to leave skin feeling moisturized and protected. This product is best suited for those with sensitive skin.
Here is just some of the “team” of makeup products I use on my face when I go from being ho-hum to glamarama. Yes, a lot goes into making my face look flawless, and my skin feels it after a while. I would usually use a makeup remover, as well as an eye makeup removing cream to take off everything I put on.
Once I was in my full regalia of makeup, I turned to Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion to then unmask myself. The instructions were really simple to follow.
1. Use Garnier’s Clean+ Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion on dry hands.
2. Apply the product to your face and around your eyes.
3. Remove the product by rinsing clean with water or wipe clean with a cotton pad (Use it at morning and night).
This product really did the job! It only took a few minutes to get this lotion to activate and remove the makeup off of my face. I dared to even put this product on my lashes re remove my mascara, and it was all gone! My eyes were not even irritated, even when I was had this product on my eyes and I had them open for a second. It took a bit of work to remove the lotion off of my face, but then it was all gone, my face not only felt soft and smooth, but it did not feel dry or irritated at all. It felt much better than it had before I put on any makeup.
I will be happy to Garnier Clean+ Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion again and again to remove makeup from my skin! It worked quickly to remove the products I was wearing on my face, and it left my face looking and feeling softer than it did before I applied any products to it.

We all have beauty formula preferences for all products based on previous experiences. All my previous experiences with lotion cleansers have been irritating to my eyes and not fun. I have avoided lotion makeup removers for years. When I learned about Garnier clean + made for sensitive skin, I was interested. Beauty technology changes and betters, maybe lotion makeup remover for eyes did too. Garnier clean + For Sensitive Skin Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser is kind to eyes and leaves no trace behind.
Garnier clean + has quick break technology that dissolves makeup quickly and isn't aggressive on skin. This is what I really like. Once you begin to rub Clean + into eyes the makeup dissolves and separates instantly you just have to clean it off!
What makes it for sensitive skin? No alcohol, dyes or fragrance. Garnier clean + is enriched with moringa and plant extracts that moisturise and comfort the skin around eyes. It is very smoothing and hydrating to skin. You can really see that clean + is taking every particle of makeup away. Just rinse with water! I tested on waterproof and non waterproof eye makeup with no trace behind. Overall, I'm impressed the results Garnier clean + delivers!

You would think that I would have figured out my perfect cleansing routine by now, but I'm still constantly on the hunt for the perfect combination of products to get my skin really clean but keep it from being tight and squeaky. It always seems to go one of two ways for me. I think cleansing is one of the most important parts of your skincare routine, and that if you aren't giving your skin a thorough cleanse - especially after wearing makeup - none of the fancy creams and serums and 900 other skincare products that we shell out so much money on are going to really be able to do their job. Hence, why I'm consistently on the hunt for two perfectly balanced cleansers for my nightly double cleansing routine.
Today we're going to take a look at the brand spankin' Garnier clean+ Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser*, which is a surprisingly unique formula! Keep reading for my thoughts...
This product claims to remove all of your makeup, even waterproof mascara, which - let's face it - can be a hell of a claim for pretty much any cleanser since waterproof mascara is pretty much evil. (Yes, I do wear waterproof mascara about 25% of the time...) It also claims that it's going to calm and comfort skin, leaving it moisturized and protected. It's also formulated for Sensitive Skin, which means it's unlikely to irritate delicate skin. It's also approved by the Canadian Dermatology Association. Sound pretty good claims, right?
First, this product comes packaged in your pretty simple squeeze tube type packaging, which is my preferred type of packaging for these types of products. The tube contains 150ml of product, which will definitely last quite a while even with twice daily use. Packaging wise, it's very much like all of the other Garnier products that they've released in the last couple of years, and I quite like it. Something about the colour scheme and the streamlined look of t he text is very comforting to me and feels modern. I'm not really sure why modernity is a good thing in cleanser packaging, but my mind works in mysterious ways. Let's talk about the product itself, shall we?
The texture of this product actually really surprised me the first time I used it. It almost has a gel like consistency that is completely unlike any other lotion cleanser I've used before. It somehow manages to be both thick and thin at the same time... which I really quite dig. There is a slight fresh scent to it, but it doesn't smell perfumed or anything to me. It's just a soft scent. Like a cleansing oil, you apply this with dry hands to dry skin and massage it over the face to break up dirt and makeup and I find that it disperses quite nicely over the skin without having to work too hard at it.
I've tried using this product two ways. The first is alone in a streamlined skincare routine, and the second is in a double cleanse paired with all of the bells and whistles of night time skin care. I actually did find that I liked it both ways, but the routine that really won out for me was the double cleanse.
Used alone with just a moisturizer to follow it, this did a pretty good job of cleaning my skin and left it feeling supple and soft, though I might have felt like it left a bit of a residue behind. Of course, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. I woke up the next morning with skin that felt hydrated and smooth and looked really clean and fresh.
Like I said, the double cleanse was where it really shined. I used this along with a cleanser that I absolutely love because it really deep cleans my skin, but that can be a little bit drying if I'm not careful. I feel like the Garnier clean+ Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser* really did protect my skin from any possible drying effects of that second cleanser and my skin felt deeply clean but also really hydrated and without any tightness when I was finished. Again, I woke up with skin that looked and felt soft, hydrated and fresh.
Overall, I have to say that I'm really impressed with this product. I think that it might be a little jarring to people who are used to more traditional foaming cleansers that tend to leave the skin squeaky, but once you get the hang of it I think everyone can really get something from this. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking to dip their toe into double cleansing, because I think it's a really great place to start and get a feel for that sort of routine. I also think this would be good for anyone who struggles with dryness, because it not only doesn't strip your skin of moisture but I feel like it also protects it.
I’m always on the lookout for a great cleanser. So when I had the opportunity to test out the new Garnier Clean+ Sensitive Skin Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser I was both excited to try something new and intrigued.
Because it isn't like a regular foaming cleanser, I was at first skeptical as to how this product would work without water to activate it.
I used my fingers to gently rub my skin in a circular motion, and to my surprise the makeup was just melting off. I then used a high-quality cotton pad to lift the dirt and makeup off my skin and it came off in one swipe. Once I removed my makeup, I gently rinsed my face with warm water.
The results were fantastic. Usually, with most cleansers, my face gets tight and dry but with this cleansing lotion, my skin instantly felt as though I had already moisturized it. I was really impressed.
After a few days of use, and in combination with another Garnier moisturizer, my skin is fighting off the rigors of the cold winter air and has become more moisturized and healthy looking, which is why I'm adding it to my beauty arsenal.
So far so good! I have incredibly sensitive skin and don't often try new things because I don't want to look like Samantha from Sex in the City after her Chemical Peel. I have tried and true products that are my go to and lately my "tried and true" aren't so great so I stepped outside of my comfort bubble and tried the Garnier Clean + Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion and it was really nice. My skin felt soft and hydrated afterwards, the mascara dissolved without me having to pull out my multi product arsenal AND there were no racoon eyes staring back at me in the bathroom mirror the next morning. This is a product I'll keep using as long as it keeps delivering the results I've gotten so far.
